Register today to create an agency account with your mission and contact information.

  • Post your volunteer needs and service events to our public volunteer calendar.

  • Indicate whether you accept teams, list any requirements (age, physical ability, background checks), and upload your waiver for electronic signature.

  • Receive automatic email notifications when volunteers sign up.

  • Communicate directly with volunteers after they express interest.

  • Download sign‑in sheets and reports; volunteers can download their own service verification records.

  • No tech experience needed—the system is intuitive, and built‑in help offers short training videos and how‑to articles.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • New agency registrations may remain pending for up to 15 business days.

  • Final approval requires a copy of your IRS determination letter. Email Ellie Duff at eduff@handsonneworleans.org.

  • When creating a Need (service opportunity/event), do not select “Is Ongoing.”

    • Use “Happens On” for a single‑date opportunity.

    • Use “Runs Until,” “Multi‑Date,” or “Recurring Shift” for ongoing needs, such as help creating your website or serving at your food pantry. However, the end date you enter must be no more than 6 months after the start date.

    • This keeps the calendar current; our three‑person team cannot manually remove outdated listings.

  • You must post at least one service opportunity per year to maintain registration. Agencies that recruited zero volunteers over the course of a year (July-June) may be suspended.

  • You may not use this system to recruit attendees for your own fundraiser or any event where your organization receives funding (for example, selling drinks or snacks at the Superdome).

  • You must promptly update your agency manager’s contact information whenever staffing changes.

  • You must contact interested volunteers within a reasonable timeframe so they have a fair chance to serve.

  • Add volunteer@handsonneworleans.org to your safe sender list. This allows you to recieve any updates.

  • HandsOn may, at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate any agency’s access that violates these terms and conditions, with or without prior notice.
