(Building
the bunk beds for disaster response
volunteers was one of our first projects and
a large part of Hands On culture, they are
covered in graffiti by all the volunteers
who have
slept in them, and one makes it’s
home in the Smithsonian.
However, the
bunk size is not standard, therefore
the mattresses have to be custom made and we
need more of them.)

Hands On New
Orleans is a non-profit organization that
relies on funding from grants and personal
contributions. We recognize that it is
sometimes more helpful to allow donors to
know some of the tangible items we are
looking for. As our organization continues
to house and mobilize volunteers both local
and out of state in the Greater New Orleans
area, we are forever thankful to those who
have supported and helped to fund us along
the way.
Below you
will find a comprehensive list of items that
the staff have identified as needs and
wishes to improve and sustain our work. We
hope that you may consider helping to
support us in donating any of the following
items to Hands On New Orleans!
