What is Principal for a Day?
Principal for a Day (PFAD) is a business and school community partnership event with the goal of translating one day experiences into long term partnerships that help schools and support students. This is an opportunity for business leaders to walk the halls, ask questions, sit in on classes, and learn first hand the accomplishments and challenges from a principal’s perspective. School principals will be able tell their school’s story and share their experiences with a respected community member desiring to help.

Who participates in Principal for a Day?
Principals for a Day are members of the New Orleans’ community who have an interest in the local school system. In order to connect the business community and the school community, the participants are usually business leaders or recognized members of the community.

Interested in being a Principal for a Day or hosting a Principal for a Day at your school?
We are currently in the process of organizing Principal for a Day 2009. At this time, we are not accepting applications for school sites or PFADs, but we will be in the coming months. Check out the Principal for a Day 2008 application or school profile to get an idea of what information we will need from you.
