AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate Program
HandsOn New Orleans is looking for four Summer Associates who are looking to contribute to New Orleans' recovery while gaining significant experience in non-profit administration. We are looking to fill four separate positions:
- Project Development Coordinator
- Marketing Coordinator
- Development Coordinator
- Teamworks Coordinator
The Summer Associate Program will run from JUne 8 - August 31, with a week of when our office is closed June 29 - July 3. Summer Associates have the option of staying for free in the HandsOn Volunteer Bunkhouse. This is a communal living environment that houses up to 50 volunteers a night. Occasionally, meals will be provided for Summer Associates living at the Bunkhouse, but at times when there are fewer than 5 volunteers staying in the Bunkhouse, Summer Associates will be responsible for providing for their own food.
AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates will receive a living stipend of $865 before taxes each month. Upon completion of their term of service, they will receive an education award of $1,000.
