Thank you for your interest in the Hands On New Orleans Volunteer Leadership Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the creation of a new program within a young, but up and coming organization. We strongly recommend that you read through Hands On New Orleans' official website before you proceed with this application to gain a greater knowledge of our history and daily projects. Please also read through all the Volunteer Leader Program web pages to determine if this program is right for you. Applicants will be informed of their acceptance following a telephone interview. Short Essay Question
There are three Focus Areas for Volunteer Leaders in our program: Construction, Education, and Disaster Recovery. While we ask our Leaders to be as flexible as possible, these Focus Areas will guide the type of work you will engage volunteers in while working with HONO. They will also determine your general focus for service and research during your stay. Please indicate your first and second preference and why you are interested in your first choice. Hands On New Orleans may ask additional questions that pertain to the selection process during the telephone interview. These may include a brief driver's history or other pertinent information. |
